Ashley Giasone

Executive Director

Ashley is a true Florida native, born in St. Petersburg, Florida. Growing up under the Wells household, she was a loving, older sister to Ryan and was very dedicated to her education to make her parents proud. Her first official job other than neighborhood babysitter was for Delectables Catering in Palm Harbor, Florida. She is a University of Florida graduate where she earned her Bachelors degree in Business Management as well as a University of Central Florida graduated where she earned a Masters Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. Upon completion of her degrees, she first worked at the Hilton Garden Inn Tampa East hotel in the sales office, and after a year moved to Sarasota, Florida where her and her husband Mike had purchased their first house. She helped open the Hyatt Place Sarasota/Bradenton Airport hotel as Sales Manager and after one year, was promoted to the Director of Sales where she remained three years until she gave birth to her first child, Jake. Ashley has helped the growth of the Ryan Wells Foundation since creation and to a deeper degree the last couple years, with the responsibilities of event planning, marketing, grant writing, school culinary advisory committee member, and much more. While she dearly misses her brother Ryan, she could not be more thankful for the legacy he has left behind and the ability he has given her to fulfill the dreams of students across Pinellas County.   Ashley continues to reside in Sarasota, Florida and is very active in the Junior League of Sarasota. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Alpha Chi Omega sorority.
